Travel Fee:
A travel fee applies for events located more than 50 miles round-trip from our base. Each additional mile beyond 50 miles is charged at $0.75 per mile.

About us

It all began with a vision for our daughter's Sweet 16 in December 2023. After experiencing the magic of a Mirror Me photo booth at a family event in Long Island—with custom animations, endless laughter, and contagious energy—we knew it would be the perfect highlight for her big night. But finding a local vendor who could offer that same custom touch turned out to be much harder than we expected. Not only were the vendors we contacted unhelpful, but some were even dismissive. Finally, we ended up renting from New Jersey, only to be disappointed by subpar service.

That challenging experience sparked an idea. Both of us are professionals—one in medicine, the other in IT—but we’ve always dreamed of building something together. So, in March 2024, we launched MJ’s Events and Photo Booth Rentals, with a mission to bring exceptional, customizable photo booth experiences to the Southern Tier of New York. We wanted to offer the high-quality service and warm customer care that we couldn’t find for our own event—ensuring no one else would face the same frustrations.

Since then, MJ's has become a local favorite, lighting up events with joy, laughter, and memories that guests will cherish. It’s thrilling to see the smiles, the excitement, and the fun our booths bring to each celebration. What started with one Mirror Me Booth has quickly grown into a trio of crowd-pleasers: our flagship Mirror Me and two Open-Air Photo Booths, ready to make any event extraordinary.
